The BMW X5 is a luxury crossover SUV introduced in 1999 as the first generation E53. It was BMW’s first SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle). It features all-wheel drive wich is branded as the ”X” drive system and is available with either manual or automatic transmission (new 2012 BMW X5 is available only with automatic transmision).
BMW is a German automobile, motorcycle and engine manufacturing company founded in 1916. It also owns and produces the Mini brand. BMW produces motorcycles under BMW Motorrad and Husqvarna brands. BMW is know for its performance and luxury vehicles, and it is a global leader in premium car sales.

Competing with Acura MDX, Mercedes-Benz M-Class and Audi Q7, the new 2012 BMW X5 looks almost like the old BMW X5 model but most updates are under the hood. The disponible drivetrain is: 265 horse-power 3.0-liter six-cylinder with six-speed automatic; 300-hp, 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder; 400-hp twin-turbo V-8 with eight-speed automatic, all wheel-drive.

 Available in 5 trims levels, the basic New BMW X5 2012 has an MSRP of $46.300 and includes a popular profile of standard equipment often specified by X5 customers, including BMW’s Xenon Adaptive headlights, Rain Sensor with automatic headlights control, HD Radio, automatic climate control, cruise control and anti-theft alarm system. A Convenience Package is optional and adds the large panoramic roofs and other options. A Sport Package includes anti-roll stability control and run-flat tire
 Safety features of new 2012 BMW X5  include dual-front impact seat-mounted side-impact and two-row side curtain airbags. Three-row curtain air bags come on models with the optional third-row seat. Antilock brakes, traction control and an electronic stability system are also standard. Park Distance control, automatic high beams, rearview camera with Top View and BMW Assist are optional.
